The International Crusade for Moral Reform was founded by Father Bryan Storey of Tintagel,Cornwall,UK, following the rape of Jill Sewall at the Ealing Vicarage where her father worked back in 1986.Since those days I.C.M.R. has grown to have followers all over the world. G.K.Chesterton wrote in his `Life of St Francis of Assisi`:The moment sex ceases to be a servant it becomes a tyrant".Exploitation of this tyranny,in ignorance for power and for wealth,is bringing personal suffering and tragedy ,and is undermining modern communities.I.C.M.R. is dedicated to promoting chastity,which is basic to the integrity of the human person.It is through inner strength,peace and true love that real harmony is established in human life and relationships.Members,individuals and groups,engage themselves in prayer,fasting and self-denial,education and action.

Rich experience through prayer and meditation prove conclusively that the energy of human love(that inner peace and joy which bubble up to promote unity with others)only increases by relating ourselves humbly with the One and Only Necessary Being and acknowledging more and more the immediate truth of Conscience that sexual activity is to do with having children. (Just as valid as Einstein's E=MC2). A hard teaching on the face of it but really rewarding-the only way to abundant life, clear in Christian teaching and accepted by all the great religions and many others of good will because it is the immediate, unmistakable Voice of Conscience. ICMR helps to promote the art and craft of prayer and meditation to help live good,pure lives. We learn more and more to avoid unclean thoughts and solitary actions (masturbation). It`s great to have strong and lasting friendships within the same sex but sexual indulgence with the same sex increases human misery, promotes despondency and despair because it`s destructive of human love. There`s a wonderful experience for those who avoid sexual relationships outside marriage. There`s a big lie going around that sexual activity makes love. This is impossible. Love can only be created through a psychological process. The only psychological process capable of making love is the one that acknowledges the two great truths of Conscience that we need to relate to the Uncreated One and follow the truth that sex is for having children. This brings fantastic results. This amazing love finds us happily participating in healthy sexual abstinence outside and rewarding sexual moderation within marriage.
